There are a few dialog and text string changes for abilities and NPCs.
The Limit Break animation voiceovers appear in Japanese. If the player accesses Giruvegan/Gate of Fire with four active party allies, the fourth party ally will become suspended or T-Posed. The Stilshrine of Miriam/Walk of Sky is replaced with an unused map. Some locations entered will appear with a black screen, prompting the player to reload their autosave to fix. After encountering the first Demon Wall in the Tomb of Raithwall, the player's party allies will appear behind the Demon Wall. When entering the Phon Coast and Cerobi Steppe for the first time, the game's audio will appear muted. Bahamut's text string shows the text 'Mother Brain' in the menu. Some NPCs and enemy 3D models are missing in the demo. 
Autosaves are the only method of saving in the demo. The game cannot be saved and saves differently from the original and will be corrupted if attempted.
This includes Crono and Rydia's 3D models, and Nyx's facial and hand 3D models. The player starts with all gambits and there are only four playable characters, Crono, Terra Branford, Nyx Ulric, and Rydia, three of which are present in the demo download files, but are not used or implemented.
